15 Upcoming Video Games To Make A Wii U Worth Buying
8. Super Smash Bros.
Easily one of the Wii U's most anticipated games even before it was officially announced, Super Smash Bros. takes its fantastic multiplayer beat 'em up gameplay to the 3DS and Wii U, and the series has never looked better. One of the most startling new additions is the ability to throw Mii fighters into the game, which while creating a huge graphical disparity between the game's on-disc characters and the more low-res Miis, at least allows for some hilarious potential if you've created any particularly demented-looking Miis. Also added is the ability to customise characters and move sets, while the roster includes new additions such as Mega Man, Pac-Man, Animal Crossing's Villager, and amusingly, the Wii Fit Trainer. The 3DS version of the game has to date received strong if not rapturous reviews, though it's widely expected that many of the cited issues (specifically the wide camera view on the small 3DS screen) will be rectified in the HD Wii U edition. It's a shame that the series still doesn't have a proper global online ranking system for fighters, but the addition of more customisation than the series has ever seen should still make this a beat 'em up for the ages.
