15 Video Games Everyone Expected To See At E3 2018
4. Skate 4
By far one of the most passionately and desperately requested games for this year's E3 was Skate 4. The previous Skate game was released way back in 2010, and with the death of the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater franchise in 2015, fans of the genre have had precious little to work with over the last few years.
With EA switching the Skate 3 servers back on in the week leading up to E3, it really seemed like this was finally going to happen. Fans were cruelly trolled not once but twice, however, as after Skate 4 didn't appear during EA's E3 presser, a skating game did in fact show up in Microsoft's show, but it was a Skate-homaging title called Session.
In fairness, Session might well be the next best thing to a Skate 4 - especially with Skate 3's development outfit no longer existing - but it's still not quite Skate, is it?
While most of the ommissions on this list were just unfortunate, this was legitimately heartbreaking because it felt like fans' dreams were being actively toyed with (whether that was indeed the case or not).
