15 Video Games Everyone Expected To See At E3 2018
12. The Avengers Project
With highly plausible "leaks" the week of E3 suggesting that Square Enix's "Avengers Project" was a reboot of the Marvel: Ultimate Alliance franchise, there wasn't any reason at all to doubt the game getting a snazzy reveal during their conference.
The title, currently being developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, was however one of this year's more baffling E3 absences, especially as it was announced with a CGI teaser trailer back at the start of 2017. And yet, 18 months later, Square Enix still has nothing to show.
Perhaps it's simply a case of the publisher wanting Insomniac's Spider-Man game to release before tempting fans with another Marvel game, to ensure they don't cannibalise each other's sales.
If the game isn't revealed by the end of the year, though, you'd be right to be feeling a little suspicious.
