15 Video Games You Wrongly Assume Are Terrible
13. Assassin's Creed: Unity
The Game: 2014's entry into the popular open-world action adventure franchise, taking place in Paris during the French Revolution and introducing 4-player co-op multiplayer to the franchise.
Why You Assume It's Terrible: Because, to be fair, the launch was an utter catastrophe, with a critical embargo set after the game was already in players' hands, and an end-product that was riddled with bugs to the point that Ubisoft had to stop selling season passes and offer free content as an apology.
Why You're Wrong: It may have taken Ubisoft several months to properly fix most of the performance issues, but Unity is now a rock solid Assassin's Creed title rather than the embarrassing effort it started out as.
It may not do much to invigorate the series' formula, but the compelling narrative and innovative multiplayer at least made it stand out a little. Still, everyone loves making fun of the game's early graphical glitches, so it's easy to get swept up and forget that it's actually a pretty good game now.
