Cadence of Hyrule or "Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda" (yeah, let's just stick to Cadence of Hyrule) is a great game, a weird game, but a great one nonetheless. It also represents a potential future relationship between Nintendo and indie developers.

It's a crossover between The Legend of Zelda and the indie game Crypt of the NecroDancer. When Crypt of the NecroDancer protagonist Cadence gets sent to Hyrule, she must team up with Link and Zelda to find four enchanted instruments to save the world.

Like Crypt of the NecroDancer, Cadence of Hyrule makes you play to the beat of the music, the difference here is you're fighting to amazing renditions of music from throughout the entire The Legend of Zelda series. The sooner Nintendo stops being weird and puts this music on Spotify the better.

The game is procedurally generated and quite short making it perfect for repeat playthroughs.

The other great thing about Cadence of Hyrule is that it has a playable Zelda. Whilst Nintendo seems adamant in not letting us play as Zelda at least the team over at Brace Yourself Games knows what we want.
