Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love is a sequel to Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland. It "unfortunately" never got released outside of Japan.
Ripened Tingle's Balloon Trip of Love has got to be one of the weirdest games ever made. The game is a point-and-click, puzzle, dating simulator heavily focused on time-travel which parodies The Wizard of Oz for some reason.
The game follows Tingle as he gets sucked into a magical book and decides that he is going to go dance with the princess who has never met him before. Apparently, to do this you need to woo every other girl in the kingdom because that's definitely how dating works.
How do you make these girls fall for Tingle's distinct charm though? Give them gifts, of course.
To be honest, Tingle hasn't really got anything else going for him so he might as well splash some cash as that's probably the only way for him to impress anybody.
The game isn’t necessarily bad, it’s just really weird. When playing the game you'd be forgiven for forgetting that this game has anything to do with Zelda.
