Answers on a postcard if random interactions in open-world games count as 'levels', but the boat rescue segments of Spider-Man 2 almost ruined the otherwise flawless Spidey experience. Up to this point we'd become quite adept at dropping in out the sky, snagging hapless construction workers or childrens' balloons and disappearing again - which was why it felt so off to then venture out to sea. Why? Because even touching the water sent you back to land, with some very repetitious dialogue accompanying you as Parker pulled himself out the brink. Collision detection on the people you were grabbing wasn't the best, and as the whole of Spidey's swing mechanic was built on momentum, you'd most likely overshoot the vessel altogether and plop straight into the New York Harbour, resulting in a cut to black and another hilarious quip as the Web-Head mentions he'd "Rather not go swimming today" or whatever. Thankfully, the very idea of an open-world Spider-Man game was fantastic enough to sell itself, as we certainly didn't go back to replay any of these abominations.
