3. Booker's True Identity - Bioshock Infinite

The character of Comstock is an easy person to hate. He's the one who kept Elizabeth locked up throughout her life, enforced the racist, cult-like mentality of the Columbian populace, and has tried to take you down on numerous occasions. Upon finally getting the chance to confront him, Booker angrily bashes his head against the fountain and kills him.

You initially think this is the last you'll see of him, but following this act, Elizabeth reveals Comstock's true identity. He wasn't just an old man, he was Booker from an alternate reality. Since Comstock is Elizabeth's father, this, in turn, makes Booker Elizabeth's father.

This complicated-sounding revelation is one that gets boiled down simply to: Comstock chose religion (specifically baptism), Booker rejected it, making these drastically different personas. However, the rest of the explanation ends up being even more mind-blowing, which leads us to...
