16 Essential Open-World Video Games Coming In 2017 & 2018
3. Spider-Man
We've not had an open-world Spidey title since 2014, though with Sony giving the rights of the character to the veteran Insomniac studio, the plainly-titled 'Spider-Man' is aiming to do for the Web-Head, what Arkham Asylum did for Batman.
Now we're post-E3 and we've seen how the project is coming together, Spidey definitely controls in the same fashion as Rocksteady's masterpiece, a solid mix of behind-the-back sneaking, vantage points and counter-focused combat being the order of the day.
hough, we're yet to see more of just how Spidey feels when swinging through New York. The E3 demo focused more on a chase sequence than just showing off the web physics - which is essential, as the absolute pinnacle of the character in game-form is 2004's Spider-Man 2.
Insomniac aren't one to not deliver, and though this is still many months away, everything about Spider-Man is coming together perfectly.
