16 Insanely Underrated PS4 Exclusives You Must Play

6. Abzu

You haven't had a trip like an Abzu trip. Conceptualised by Journey's art director Matt Nava, he wanted to create something that was "full of life" as a direct contrast to the barren desertscapes of that 2012 masterpiece.

As such, Abzu is just as much about admiring the gorgeously animated schools of fish you can swim through or bursting out the water to pull off some forward flips before landing next to a group of dolphins, as it is about unravelling the mystery behind the ancient architecture you'll occasionally pass by.

Far more the artistic experience than a set of addictive gameplay loops, Abzu is serene, tranquil, contemplative and as rewarding as it is investible. Not one for action fans, but there's a lot to love about rendering a more tech-heavy version of everything your mind thinks of when someone starts singing "Under the Sea".
