5. Halo 3's Removed 'Cheneymania' Achievement
Remember the time Vice President Dick Cheney shot his friend Harry Whittington by accident with a shotgun, only for the latter to apologise for being in the way of the bullet?
So did Bungie, as in a brilliant turn of events, Halo 3's pre-release beta version included an achievement called 'Cheneymania' - which you'd trigger by killing 10 opponents in a row with a shotgun, whilst not being killed.
Understandably the retail version had this removed and changed to 'Open Season', but the original inspiration is far better.
