Back during Halo's first showing across many European PR shows, the build of the game just couldn't hold it together and actually spontaneously combusted, as Bungie lead writer Joe Staten later commented on: "Having no computer made our first demo go, er, poorly. 'Imagine if you will, there's this green guy called Master Chief, and he's fighting against some purple space aliens called the Covenant.' Cool, huh?"
