15. There Was Almost A Knitting Add-On For The SNES
Like video game themed clothing? So does Nintendo, but at one point they were happy for you to design your own. At least, they going to back in the 80s, when this knitting add-on was touted in a brochure, assumedly with the intention of targeting a female demographic. The creation leaked thanks to Howard Phillips who was working for the company between '81 and '91, noting on his Facebook page that when he had to deliver the pitch to Toys R' Us, it was "Likely one of my least genuinely enthusiastic demos". Let's face it though, if there was some add-on that let us create clothing on the spot for our favourite games... it'd be pretty damn awesome.
