4. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

There's a real chance Deus Ex's next main instalment will be a bit too crazy for its own good, thanks to the most interesting parts of Human Revolution being when you weren't fighting other super-powered soldiers. In a world where everyone is special, no one is, and as the close of Human Revolution saw mankind's augmented limbs get 'activated' (turning them all into brainless zombie-types) it's a point in the overall narrative that's going to make it hard to re-ground around Adam Jensen's understanding of his own half-human situation. Still, Eidos are charging forward with their expansive take on the highly-stylised, 'I can't believe it's not Matrix' future, hopefully fleshing out the environments and level design to allow for increased experimentation and insertion options. Human Revolution was at its best when you could decide on the fly whether to go in guns blazing or dart around a corner and take out a guard by pulling him straight through a wall, and here's to Mankind Divided giving us at least a hundred more opportunities to do exactly that.
