7. Liquid Ocelot's 'Gaining Control' Scene

After building up a near-future dystopia where everything from troop movements on the battlefield to aircraft systems and general free will is essentially governed by a group of networking A.I.s, having Liquid Ocelot gain control of the whole lot turned into one of the most ridiculously over-the-top scenes in gaming history. The dude literally just points at things with a 'gun-hand' finger-and-thumb motion, and they blow up, which he does for what feels like an eternity. Cue lots of "Bang!" soundbites and him pointing in multiple directions at once, as helicopters fall out the sky, troops are forced to obey his commands and his own men watch on in awe. In terms of the sheer scale of destruction and what we were being forced to just accept in terms of it playing out on-screen, this has to be one of the most ludicrous things Kojima's ever concocted.
