However, within you'll find the predecessor to Phantom Pain's base-building gameplay, alongside some of the craziest stuff Kojima's ever come up with. Eagle-diving off a roof and being told about "Assassins in ancient times" (an Assassin's Creed nod) is one thing, you can also trigger a cutscene with a talking cat from Monster Hunter too, but only the most ardent fans unlocked a couple of twin dates with both Paz (the sickeningly cute blonde girl from the beginning) and Kaz (your militaristic formerly-hetero best bud). Both scenes are brilliantly 'Metal Gear' (a term that's just come to define any sporadic madness that happens on screen), and although the Paz scene plays out like a Japanese schoolgirl fever-dream, Kaz actually responds positively to being beaten up and thrown to the floor, a small heart icon appearing in a speech bubble. After you've done this a few times and showered him with praise, the two of you (and the same for this part with Paz) can hop in a special pink cardboard box, where copious amounts of rumbling occur as more hearts fly out. There you have it, Big Boss is actually bisexual. Boom.
