5. Assassin's Creed 4
Assassin's Creed has become a yearly franchise for Ubisoft and they are really beginning to push it in a big way. While Assassin's Creed 3 left some people wanting, 4 seems to have re-whetting peoples appetites. Centering around Edward Kenway, even Black Beard himself can't hold back about spewing how awesome the pirate Assassin is. However, I remember everyone being really excited about Assassin's Creed 3 and that game just struggling to match the enthusiasm that other games in the series got. It will be interesting to see if the series can recapture its spark and justify yearly releases. I certainly hope it can.
4. Battlefield 4
EA's CoD killer is going to be going head to head with Infinity Ward once again and it looks like they are going to be pulling out all the stops for this installment. With a further revamped multiplayer, the success of the game will count on how long players keep playing. However, I doubt there will be much of a problem in that department. Even a year and half later, the game remains one of the most played multiplayer games online. For me though, the single player has to really offer an exciting experience and not just act as an extended and exciting tutorial for the multiplayer. Here's hoping.
