16 Video Games That Would Make Perfect Animated Movies

6. Star Fox

With Star Trek's reboot bringing in audiences and new Star Wars films heightening the anticipation for space opera, the time seems perfect for Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team to blast off to the silver screen. Interestingly enough, however, Star Fox was itself inspired - at least in part - by a cartoon itself, though not one of the standard fare.
Creator Shigeru Miyamoto has made it known that he is a fan of English puppet dramas, such as Thunderbirds, which led to him creating a series of similar puppets to represent the characters for the box art of the original game. It also led to the simpler open/shut mouth animations used for the characters in the Nintendo 64 remake, Star Fox 64. With that said, if one were to bring Star Fox to theaters, why not do so by bringing the original Thunderbirds vision to life? Not only would it call back to the original games, but it would also ensure that the product is visually distinct from much of the competition.
