7. All Tail, Eavesdrop & Chase Missions - Any Assassin's Creed
Eventually, Ubisoft changed up their formula to cut back on the missions we'd been screaming we didn't want any more of since, ooh, AC III?
Chasing targets always reverted back to holding forward and the right trigger, whilst 'tailing' them was a case of not alerting them when in pursuit, and eavesdropping the same, but within a given radius.
They were all fine and original back in AC 1 and the Ezio trilogy, but following that - and remember, we've had an AC game every year since 2009 - diminishing returns set in, in a huge way.
2016 marks the first year Ubisoft are taking off since Assassin's Creed II, and for good reason - hopefully they can think of some truly original mission types.
