Fighting the Skull Unit in MGS V sucks. There, I said it, because someone had to.

Like a Dark Souls boss, the challenge is supposed to come from tackling an enemy far more powerful and agile than yourself, except that for the Skulls, they can fundamentally overpower you in seconds. There's nowhere to hide when a handful of them appear at once, their weapons to ridiculously unfair amounts of damage, and if you attempt to flee, they'll just land in front of you.

Without a dedicated cover system and the impetus being to drop you on an open battlefield against tons of enemies who'll fire on site, it was just bad gameplay. This is without mentioning you couldn't sneak up on them (which was like, the entire ethos of Metal Gear) meaning if you hadn't ranked up some more armoured gear or more powerful weapons, the battles themselves were nigh-on impossible.
