18 Best PS4 Games You're Not Playing
4. Furi
There's a lot to be said about how brutally unforgiving Cuphead is - and how it reminds us of a bygone time when games were designed to be frustrating - but Furi already did that dance back in 2016.
A genuinely phenomenal blend of top-down bullet hell, twin stick shooter gameplay mixed with side-on fighting game mechanics, you'll jump between the two as the game's boss battles progress. Together this gives Furi a really identifiable and unique sense of flow, requiring you to be dialled into its various counters, dodges, sound effects and attack patterns to overcome some incredibly demanding foes.
Stylistically Furi is on another level. Character models are awash in cybernetic clothing and the soundtrack is comprised of original synthwave tracks written by artists you'll recognise by the mighty Hotline Miami. It's the complete package; a gamer's game - and one you should get lost in.
