14. STEEP
Easily forgettable as "just something Ubisoft threw together", STEEP is actually a remarkably solid snowboarding and extreme sports game. With a heavy momentum-based trick system that governs how fast you'll be able to transition from one spin or grab into another, the real meat of the experience comes from swapping between four different sports on the fly.
Snowboarding, skiing, hang-gliding and wingsuit, er, ing, are on offer, meaning STEEP is all about exploring the luscious mountainsides Ubi have designed before picking a spot to begin a run.
Repeating and perfecting certain slaloms is the majority of what you'll be doing, but the physics model behind everything encourages you to nail a better landing, slip through a series of gates or achieve a higher trick score next time around.
The nearest thing to the mentality behind EA's long forgotten Skate franchise, STEEP is - despite its heftier budget - alongside Valiant Hearts and Grow Home as Ubisoft's most overlooked releases.
