18 Greatest Role-Playing Games Of The Decade (So Far)
4. Undertale
2015's indie darling through and through, Undertale was coded and lovingly crafted by one Toby Fox, resulting in a gorgeous, heart-warming and hilariously-written RPG with you at the centre.
Playing as an androgynous soul (though fan art has settled on female for now) you tumble down into a forgotten underground land of monsters - only they're not 'monsters' at all, they're quite civilised. From there on out you'll be spun a tale of friendship and exploration, touching on everything (even super-lightly) from race relations to politics, power structures and regal responsibilities.
With a soundtrack as loveable as its characters, Undertale deserves every last bit of the hype and then some.
