16. X-Men's Reset Button Trick - X-Men

When you start the level it doesn't look like anything is particularly amiss. The game is playing exactly like it has before and there is nothing to indicate that things are going to get a little bit weird. That is until the game decided to smash through the fourth wall and confuse the hell out of players. Following the fight with Mojo at the end of the level, the player is presented with a weird screen that contains the message "SYSTEM RESET, VIRUS PROGRAM SUSPENDED." After hours of trying to figure out what that means, some players finally decided to try their console's actual reset button, only to find that it worked and the game continued. That's WTF worthy on its own, but the screamed WTFs that escaped the mouths of those who did a hard reset - rather than the required soft reset - would shake the walls of the house as all progress gets lost.
