What's the motivation for Sonic to collect his rings? Why do those crabs fire random blasts of energy, and just what the hell is Robotnik doing with all those creatures anyway?
If a game doesn't have a good story and it's more a Monster Hunter-style adventure of "Do this because you want to... right?!" titles like that and Assassin's Creed III's Homestead side-stuff just get met with a big fat 'nope'.
