18. Conan
From Garshasp to Ryse: Son of Rome, the God of War formula has been put through varyingly-successful ringers, emerging in different states of enjoyment, but always adhering to the original mechanics Devil May Cry once made so fun. Conan is no different, except sometimes executing a well-worn ruleset to perfection is a worthwhile course of action. For most of us who had gotten tired of God of Wars repetitive animations, or just wanted something to fill the wait in between titles, Conans mix of skyscraper-sized beasts and great graphics made all the executions and dismemberment a gloriously enjoyable alternative, and one thats worth revisiting for some cheap throwaway entertainment.
