While the original version of Persona 5 is brilliant, somehow developers Atlus managed to make it even better with their expanded version, Persona 5 Royal. The game is more streamlined, with more content, better battle gameplay and a selection of other under-the-hood improvements designed to make the experience superior to the original title.

If you're unfamiliar with it, Persona 5 puts you in the shoes of an unnamed protagonist, AKA Joker of the Phantom Thieves. What follows is a story of rebellion against corrupt society; you'll both live Joker's life as a humble student, and also visit a place called the Metaverse, where you, along with your friends and Personas, will battle against dastardly adults.

The game has so much going for it. It's probably the most stylish game ever created (just look at the UI to see what we mean), the characters are all extremely likeable and well fleshed out, it's got a great story that spans upwards of 90 hours and it has probably the most banging RPG soundtrack outside of a Final Fantasy game.
