In Baldur’s Gate 3, your character can learn powerful magic, devastating sneak attacks, and plenty of other incredible abilities that make you feel like a fantasy superhero.

However, between fire-wielding sorcerers and smiting paladins, it is secretly the humble Thief subclass that offers the most beautifully broken abilities in the game.

Out of all the Rogue subclasses, the Thief may seem like the least awe-inspiring choice, as it doesn’t offer any flashy magic or special sneak attacks that pack a lot of punch. This said, the subclass is perfect for creating broken multiclass builds thanks to its third-level ability—Fast Hands.

On paper, Fast Hands sounds boring, as all it does is give you one extra bonus action, which rogues mostly use for dashing and hiding. However, when combined with classes that can attack with their bonus action, such as Monk or Barbarian, the feature becomes incredibly broken, allowing them to dish out a lot more damage.

In particular, monks who can attack twice with their bonus actions can become absolutely lethal with fast hands, as all that stops them from being able to deal a hundred damage with their bare fists per turn is three levels in the most underrated rogue subclass.
