20 Best Ever E3 Moments
18. Konami's Infamously Unhinged Presser (2010)
Konami's 2010 conference is without question the most deranged E3 showcase of all time - a presentation that, while fundamentally ineffective as a piece of video game marketing, is bizarre enough to basically graduate to unintentional performance art.
You're honestly better off just watching the show - or, at least, the most unhinged highlights - for yourself, but the best/worst parts include the hilariously cheap-looking stage setup, Tak Fujii's idiosyncratic presence, the appearance of lucha libre wrestlers on stage, and the generally dire quality of the games on offer.
It's a car crash of a show and basically a step-by-step guide of what not to do when building a games presentation. But in its own way, it lives on as one of the most entertainingly bats**t things to ever happen at E3.
