Tetris for Game Boy is still one of the best versions of the game.

It has the classic Tetris theme which automatically makes it better than the many versions of the game that lack it. Has difficulty options where you can choose how much room you want to clear out Tetromino's and how fast you want the game to start off as.

It's simple, yes, but good music and the option to make the game harder for you is all you really need for Tetris.

It even includes multiplayer.

It was also the perfect pack-in title for the Game Boy. Everybody understands Tetris, and many early Game Boy games can be beaten in an hour or two whilst this game can be played for thousands of hours without it getting boring. Unlike many Game Boy games, it doesn’t feel limited by the system it’s on.

Later on, there was a deluxe version of the game, Tetris DX made for the Game Boy Colour (although it also works on the original Game Boy). It added colour and not much else. It's good but if you've got the original Game Boy Tetris there's no point upgrading to the coloured version.
