Whilst the Oracle games are often compared to the Pokémon series because of how they were released that's actually quite unfair.

The two Pokémon versions released on the same day are the same game, if you've played Pokémon Red you've played Pokémon Blue. However, if you've played The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons you haven't played The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.

In Oracle of Seasons you control the seasons in the world of Holodrum, in Oracle of Ages you control time in the world of Labrynna. They're two games that have different plots, give you different abilities, and are set in different worlds. They share the same engine, that's about it, it'd be like calling Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask the same game.

With that out of the way, these games are bloody amazing.

They have some of the most interesting dungeons in the entire series, have unique gimmicks which make them like no other Zelda games, they look great, both have a lot of content to dig into, and are technically sequels to A Link to the Past, what more could you want?
