18. Star Fox Adventures
NintendoThe decision to take everyone's favourite Arwing-piloting Fox and put him in a grounded action adventure wasn't exactly a universally accepted one. In fact such was the fan backlash that Nintendo ended up releasing a more 'traditional' Star Fox - Assault - just to appease fans. Yet despite this, the action RPG styling of Adventures were still pretty enjoyable on its own merit. While this wasn't what fans expected, Adventures hack and slash gameplay with light RPG and elements of exploration were a unique melding that is worth experiencing. Ignore the purists, forget the Fox's origins and prepare for some c-stick spinning fun.
