17. Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
NintendoWhere would a Nintendo console list be without Mario Kart? With the recent Mario Kart 8 being one of the
highlights of 2014, its no surprise that the Gamecube's Mario Kart outing was just as much of a highlight. Double Dash was the fourth entry in the series, and as well as introducing 16 player LAN matches (yes, really) it famously featured two players riding in each kart. While having another rider on your kart is an interesting development in single player, when you have a friend on the back in multiplayer it opens up a whole wealth o new gameplay possibilities. While some weren't a fan of this mechanic, Double Dash still delivered the highly enjoyable racing experience that fans had come to expect from the series. As any Gamecube owner will know, few games on the system could rival Double Dash in terms of pure colourful fun, and this game is undoubtedly one of the console's greatest racers.
