4. The Stanley Parable's Hidden Secret Disco
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSc2BFu0t4Y Galactic Café's phenomenal little indie gem that makes you question everything about the nature of player agency within any given game will hold up perfectly as time goes on - but its greatest asset to such revelations is a sharp and witty sense of humour. See, the whole game is narrated expertly by one Kevan Brighting, who provides some very John Cleese-esque commentary on everything you do, from the directions you'll choose to navigate the world, to what items you pick up - and even if you decide to loiter in a broom cupboard for too long. However, the best bit comes when you find yourself in a gigantic control room, with both you and Stanley begging for more answers as to what's really going on. The key here is to instead wait, don't take the lift and eventually the doors from whence you came will reopen, letting you push a button and kickstart the 'secret disco'. It's literally just one big celebration of secrets. What secrets? All of them, paraphrased by the designers in a bunch of different forms, from "Go go secret rangers!" to "DISCO SECRETS!" - all with some fantastically bouncy, Hotline Miami-style retro-funk blasting away in the background.
