20 Best Nintendo Games Of The Decade
8. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze
Donkey Kong Country Returns was already an impressive return to form for the lovable primate, but then Nintendo wowed everyone even further by coming back and doing it all over again but BETTER for the sequel. Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze might have sold decently enough, but it deserved to sell even better than that because this is one of the best in the entire franchise, if not the best overall.
This game doesn't just bring back the same snappy gameplay along with the tweaks made by Returns, but the energy of this game is insane. Once you get the hang of it, you'll be moving with the kind of speed and fluidity reserved for one of the newer Rayman games.
Tropical Freeze is everything you want in a good video game sequel. It takes everything accomplished in the first game and then builds on it to make everything better. From the fluidity of motion, to just how much snappier and quicker everything feels in this game in general.
if you're looking for the premier Donkey Kong experience for the modern day, check this game out. Hopefully Nintendo will find a way to top themselves all over again for the next one.
