20 Best Nintendo Games Of The Decade
4. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
These final four entries are the obvious ones, the games you KNEW were gonna be on this list one way or another. With that said, here's why Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has every right in the universe to be here.
This game is the final culmination of everything the series has been building up since the original back in the 90's. The controls are the tightest they've ever been, the roster is literally as large as it can possibly be, and yet the game remains painstakingly balanced. While it lacks the story mode that made Brawl such a fun experiment, it at least doesn't have the tediousness that was Smash Road in 4.
And besides, story in a fighting game is more of a side garnish than a main part of the dish. It's nice to have it, and few will complain that it's there, but it isn't what you spent money to get. What you DID spend money on is one of the best fighting games in the entire decade. And another great feather in Nintendo's cap.
