20 Best PlayStation Exclusives Of The Decade

16. Yakuza 0

Death stranding god of war last of us

Not going to lie, it wasn't easy deciding which Yakuza game to pick. They are all equal parts mental, massive and migraine-inducingly bright, that picking one didn't seem enough.

But, as is the way, it had to be one, and the one in question is Yakuza 0. The sixth main entry in the series is also a prequel, as the name suggests, yet still follows the story of our unlikely protagonists. Both Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima return, as it were, in this adventure, but have yet to officially meet.

Instead, you switch between the two at determined points in the story, charting their rise to their starting positions in the first game. But of course, it wouldn't be a Yakuza game without everything else in between.

The exploration, the arcade games, the cabaret and real estate side activities, it's all still there. Sony's exclusive spin on the genre that Shenmue brought to light back in 1999 is still reigning strong today, with a massive collection to get into.

But where better to begin than the very start?...sort of.
