20 Best PlayStation Exclusives Of The Decade
15. Gravity Rush
The somewhat ironically named and short-lived second attempt at handheld gaming by Sony may not have reached the levels of the competition, but it did have some neat features and games.
Utilising the trackpad and tilt controls, first party games took full advantage of what was on offer. Naughty Dog did well with Uncharted: Golden Abyss, but one of the system's real gems lay in the original title, Gravity Rush.
As amnesiac protagonist Kat, you find yourself in the town of Hekseville, defending it from the forces of the Nevi. Sounds standard, but Gravity Rush's unique selling point was being able to traverse most of the landscape.
That's not just pathways and roads, but buildings, suspended debris, in any direction it faces. For you see, using the tilt function, you could aim and launch Kat in any direction and watch her stick the landing.
It gave rise to new means to exploration and combat, injecting some life into the action/adventure genre. It has since spawned a sequel, as well as a port to the PS4, proving that fans are always keen on new ideas.
