The Sly Cooper series was an interesting one, as it was born out of the platformer revolution that began with Naughty Dog's Jak and Daxter series; cute Disney-esque characters in large open-worlds. There's something very Pixar about the whole affair, which is part of what makes Sly Cooper and the Thievus Raccoonus such a charming and wonderful little game. While it isn't much of a tremendous revolution for the genre, the first entry in the series maintains an incredibly strong element of fun that is unmatched by a lot of other stealth titles. The sneaking is endless fun, putting a delightful spin on the usual dread that comes with a stealth experience and creating a unique world all its own.
