The DualShock was a wired controller for the original Playstation. It wasn't the first controller for the console but was widely considered one of the best. It introduced extra shoulder buttons now standard on current gen systems as well as textured analogue sticks offering consideraby more purchase over the predecessor. But, the dual rumble motors in the lengthened handles were possibly the most interesting aspect, as for the first time games could vary the rumble effect based on the action in a way that Nintendo's rumble pack just couldn't achieve. The DualShock is certainly responsible for many of the design ideas we see in today's controllers, and it remains an iconic design even visually to this day.
A Welsh semi-retired television producer and actor known for low end work that astonishingly people actually watched and even garnered some awards.
