4. Wiimote And Nunchuck
The Wiimote and its counterpart nunchuck is groundbreaking in so many ways it cannot be fit into a few paragraphs. With Bluetooth communication, built in speaker, infrared camera, tilt axis sensor and ultimate versatility it's fair to say that the Nintendo Wii controller shook up the industry from top to bottom. Archery games suddenly felt real, Wii bowling became a competition sport, tennis was played naturally as was golf, boxing, drumming, wielding a sword and so much more. Despite its unique look, the world was captivated by the controller and even though the Wii itself had crude standard definition graphics, almost every home, even those inhabited by non-gamers, suddenly had a Wii in the TV room. It's also accurate to say that the Wiimote is responsible for more broken TVs than any other controller in history.
