Again with a certain moment from a game that's packed full of them, Telltale's home run-hitting visual novel loves to put you in many precarious positions, laying out some binary choices and waiting for you to side with one or the other. If you wait too long, the game will occasionally decide for you, and as there's nearly always someone's life at risk or a life-changing decision to be made, it's never as simple as just A or B. You'll play as one Lee Everett for the majority, forming a very believable father-daughter bond with young Clementine, a shy girl who's just looking for her parents amongst the wreckage of a former population. Following Lee getting bitten by a walker it kickstarts that sense of impending doom for the character you always get with the zombie apocalypse genre, and when both Lee and Clem are holed up in a room together, just as the former is slowly turning, the game puts you back in control of Clem, asking whether or not you'd pull the trigger. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBD7Ir04Sis In the end Clem leaves behind regardless, but it's whichever decision you personally made that'll always stick with you, highlighting the brilliance of these sorts of games when choices with this much weight are done well.
