2. Getting Your Own Suicide Mission Outcome - Mass Effect 2
Playing through Mass Effect 2 for the first time was genuinely jaw-dropping. Not only were you rebuilding and revisiting your crew after years of being inactive (and dead), but the whole game's story was to funnel you down a path towards an aptly-named 'Suicide Mission' - the success of which dangled on a thread, and could only happen if you had the best the universe had to offer going in. As Bioware opened with killing Shepard it's a great subversion of expectation that makes you think throughout the final mission that anything could happen - and it does. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFqt2KMDebc Any and everyone from your helping hand Kelly Chambers to Shepard him/herself can bite the bullet, and as the game factors in things such as how many ship and weapon upgrades you have beforehand, it all factors into the final battle. If by some miracle you managed to get your crew through in one piece first time, let us know in the comments - as if forum chatter and the lengthy wiki guides online are anything to go by it took plenty retries to make sure everyone made it to Mass Effect 3.
