20 Best Wii Games Of All Time
4. Super Mario Galaxy
Every franchise ends up in space. It happened to Friday the 13th with Jason X, it happened to Fast & Furious with F9, and it happened to Mario with Super Mario Galaxy. Whilst the final frontier often marks the point where a series jumps the shark, Super Mario Galaxy is actually one of the best games ever made.
Super Mario Galaxy followed the disappointing Super Mario Sunshine and completely blew it out of the water. The use of gravity is genius and each level in Super Mario Galaxy is a showcase of creative new ideas all taking place where nobody can hear you scream... or wahoo... or let's-a go.
Not only does this game practically perfect the 3D Mario formula, but it also succeeds in areas where Mario has usually never been good at.
The basic story in this game is presented in a surprisingly epic way, and the tale of Rosalina will definitely tug at your heartstrings. Talking about Rosalina, the game introduces her, one of the most interesting Mario characters ever - although there isn't much competition is there?
The only minor problems are the lacklustre hub and occasional weird motion-control moments. Other than that, this game is perfect.
