20 Best Wii Games Of All Time
13. Mario Strikers Charged
Mario has played basically every sport imaginable. He's played golf and tennis so much that you could swear he was an old rich retired guy. He even participated in practically every Olympics since 2008. Even the mythical 2020 one that never even happened.
He also played football a couple of times (or soccer if you like being wrong), in the excellent Mario Strikers games. Whilst Super Mario Strikers for the GameCube is a great game, Mario Strikers Charged is better in every way.
The game mixes a compelling football game which would make the FIFA franchise jealous with typical Mario wackiness.
Mario Strikers Charged allows you to throw around shells, bananas, and bombs, something that would make your average football match much more interesting. Each captain has enough differences to make them feel unique such as Princess Daisy, who is able to summon crystals to skewer any enemy nearby (I think that's against the football rules).
Another interesting thing about Mario Strikers Charged is that it's slightly more risqué than your average Mario game, having Waluigi crotch chopping people because apparently that's something we all needed to see.
Come on Nintendo who cares about tennis, give us some more Mario football on the Switch.
