20 Biggest Games Of 2014: What Do We Already Know?

6. Assassin's Creed: Unity (Q4 2014)

It's impressive how the Assassin's Creed series has managed to maintain a pretty great level of quality over the years despite how many releases they've churned out. The rum-soaked pirate adventure that was Black Flag was arguably one of the best installments yet, and Ubisoft are hard at work on Unity, the next-gen AC title due for release near the end of the year. Images leaked out a few weeks ago ahead of an official reveal, depicting Paris as apparently the primary setting, along with a male assassin character decked out in black. Though we know very little about the game or its narrative, one of the most curious features pointed out in screenshots is the "parkour up" and "parkour down" button prompts, apparently part of a new navigation mechanic for the series, which should hopefully make whomever we control all the more versatile and acrobatic when scaling the gorgeous environments. Will It Deliver? As the first AC game developed solely for next-gen platforms (and PC), we'll be expecting an extremely high production quality, but given how Ubisoft haven't stepped wrong yet, the odds are with them to deliver another smash hit.
