20. The First Transition To The Other World (Silent Hill 1)
Following a rather inconclusive opening sequence, Harry Mason is left standing in the middle of a misty street having just crashed his car. After a few steps, Harry catches a glimpse of his daughter in the distance, wandering further into the unknown, ignoring his cries. Following her down a nearby alley, Harry loses sight of her completely, finding himself once again completely alone and without a direction in which to head.
Walking further and further down the alley, things starts to deteriorate; hospital equipment starts to crop out, and blood-splatters can be seen visibly plastering the walls. Eventually, Harry will encounter a bloodied body strewn across a barded wire fence, before finally being attacked by a group of demented, knife-wielding children. Moments later, he awakes to find himself in a comforting diner, but was it really just a dream?
