20 Dumb Choices That Will DESTROY Your Game Save

18. Secret Death Ending - Shenmue

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Shenmue is an open-world adventure telling the story of a young man on a quest for revenge.

Or at least that’s what the game would like to be. In reality, most players would rather laze around its virtual town, spending all their money on arcades and gacha machines.

Because Shenmue’s open world features so many mini games and side activities, it’s easy to set aside its somewhat boring main storyline in favor of exploration. The only problem is that if you spend too much time ignoring the obvious threat posed by the game’s main antagonist, your neglect will eventually come back to bite you.

The in-game clock isn’t there just for the opening hours of the arcade joint, but it is also secretly ticking away. The game makes it quite apparent that the man responsible for the protagonist’s father’s death is still a threat to you, and if you ignore him for too long, you will run out of time.

The game will suddenly trigger a game over cutscene and show the main character, Ryo, getting killed by the man he was supposed to track down.

In retrospect, maybe wasting your time and allowance on video games isn’t the best idea while fighting an international crime syndicate.
