20 Essential Gaming Sequels That Must Be Announced In 2014

2. Uncharted 4

If there's any game we all want to see properly, unambiguously announced for the PS4, it's Uncharted 4. Each game in the series has built upon the previous one: the first Uncharted back in 2007 was an entertaining action adventure game, but the second and third efforts threw Nathan Drake into the superbly cinematic realm, with seamless, gorgeous visuals and a deeply refined gameplay style. Uncharted 2 especially is regarded as one of the greatest games on the PS3, and with good reason. Uncharted 4 has technically already been announced in a sense, by way of a vague, cryptic trailer on the eve of the PS4's launch in North America. All the trailer showed was a map with a voiceover, so no sight of Nathan Drake nor, aside from a few sneaky hints, what the plot might actually involve. We have no idea what the game's subtitle will be, but given that the game must be approaching a demonstrable level if they're already teasing it, an E3 reveal is extremely likely.
