20 Essential Gaming Sequels That Must Be Announced In 2014

12. Next-Gen Crash Bandicoot

Alright, so this one is a bit of a pipe dream given that we haven't seen a main Crash Bandicoot game in 6 years, but what self-respecting PS4 owner wouldn't buy a next-gen Crash game? There were rumours of a new Crash title surrounding the PS4's release, largely due to a commercial for the console which included a hidden image of Crash, that the character would be making a triumphant return on the new platform, though it transpired after this that Activision still retain the rights to the property, and are still considering how to move forward with it. Moreover, it was revealed just the other day that Activision has not kept the Crash Bandicoot license paid up for over a year, suggesting that they're definitely not working on a new Crash game right now, and possibly don't really care to either. Fingers crossed that Sony re-acquire Crash and give gamers what they've been hoping for...a Crash game that returns to the series' roots with some gorgeous next-gen graphics.
